Student loans: Most of us have them, and a lot of them, too. They dictate the financial decisions we make in our daily lives, and continue to do so until we pay them off. The student loaning system sets up many people to fail, especially in a job market that chews you up and spits you out regardless of your education and experience. With that being said, however, our student loans are still our responsibility. We don't want to throw a wrench in our parents' lives all because we couldn't make it in the real world. Don't our parents deserve to settle down, stress-free, and enjoy the rest of their lives peacefully?

Yes, they do deserve this. Not everyone seems to think that, though, and others plainly refuse to see how they are financially impacting their parents (and don't care enough to understand how).

The sibling in this next story got their parent to cosign on a large loan for medical school. Things happen, and that plan didn't work out, but now, their parents are stuck with footing the bill since they cosigned the loan in the first place.
