“I didn’t find him…my dog did”: Morning jog turns into a life-saving mission after malinois named Skye alerts her owner to an elderly man collapsed behind the bushes in his front yard

Dogs are just the best kind of heroes. They are fast, they are strong, they have super hearing and smell, and when the day is done they do not need a parade in their name to stroke their ego, a simple treat and a nap will do just fine. The epitome of the humble hero is what they are. And today we are proud to bring you a story that personifies the humble hound hero who saved a life that would have otherwise been lost and expected nothing in return.

But of course you cannot help but look upon a hero who has just done their job and not offer them something in return for their service. And that is exactly what the emergency services team did once they arrived on the scene. This is a story of humility, this is a story of underdogs and their uprising. This is the story that we should all remember changed the way we looked at our cute canine children, for in each and every one of them lies a hero inside, just waiting to save the day.

  • Wow, this darling doggo really went above and beyond here. Could you imagine if no one had found this poor person? He would have been stranded on a flooding porch for days on end. That being said, he might have been able to float out of his situation, but no one wants to be abandoned on their front door step.

    checked his vitals and said everything looked ok but took him to the hospital to make sure he's ok. He did have scraps on his face.

    After EMS had him secured in the ambulance- they came over to me to ask questions. And of course to pet Skye. They asked how I found him- and I said I didn't. My dog. did! -
