All things considered, the vast majority of people who are looking for love deserve to find it someday. Anybody who has spent any significant amount of time traversing the dating scene knows that this is a journey that is often long and filled with setbacks and disappointments. 

That being said, as a single person looking for love, it is important to be upfront and truthful about what you have to offer. Any relationship that is built on dishonesty is not one that is going to last.

Of course, this doesn't stop a lot of singletons from lying prodigiously, whether that is catfishing with their appearance or omitting crucial and deal-breaking details about themselves. It is yet another obstacle for determined daters to bypass, but it is not an easy process. In the ephemeral age of online dating, most get tricked at one point or another and then have to deal with the consequences.

    Stop_The_Crazy A lot of guys do this, unfortunately. They figure, "Hey, it's a woman, so the minute they see my kid they'll get all emotional and love them." They're just looking for moms for their kids and don't consider you a person unto yourself. You have , so you must love kids. You would have been a fool if you didn't run.     Odd-Breadfruit-9541 NTA it should be MONTHS before you introduce a kid to your significant other. Like why would you want them to meet people that will likely be out the door in 3 months. Why put the kid through the that? No way. By months, I mean at least 10 to 12 months of serious dating. Anything else is too soon, even if your significant other asks to meet them. He should've told upfront.

    Queen-of-Mice That's awful of him to do to his daughter. What a strange position to put her in. It should be a big deal when you meet your SO's kids. I dated someone where he introduced me to his kids fast. They ended up having their hearts broken when he and I broke up.
