It seems like everyone is an influencer nowadays. We've all seen how seemingly easy it is to go viral, and it's hard to pass up the chance to make "easy" money by making videos. Of course, it's not as easy as it looks, but it's definitely easier than a lot of other jobs. But the thing about influencers that can be so annoying is the sense of entitlement they sometimes have. Sure, you have a couple of thousand online followers. 

But that doesn't mean you're better than anyone else, far from it. It just means that you've captured the attention of some people on the internet, something that's not all that difficult to do. This is especially true at shops and restaurants. Maybe they need that space for their content, but that doesn't mean everyone else has to rearrange their lives in order to accommodate them.

    Entitled Micro-Influencer Tried to Kick Me Out of a Café Window Seat for Her Photoshoot

    Last weekend I was reading at a small coffee shop that recently went viral for its aesthetic window seat. I got there early, ordered my drink, and settled in. Two girls walked in dressed like influencers and immediately eyed my spot. One came up and asked me to move because she had a shot "planned" and needed the lighting. She said I was wasting the seat since I wasn't taking photos.

  • That's what happened in this story, where a self-described influencer wanted a particular seat at a coffee shop for a particular photo. And while the coffee shop was known for this spot, it was first-come, first-served. So when they got there and it was taken, they had a lot to say. But the customer stood her ground. Nothing opened up, and they left without even buying anything. Later, the barista gave me a cookie and said I handled it better than most. Apparently this happens all the time now. As I was leaving the lobby to get an Uber, there was an influencer outside taking up a good amount of space to record something, while it was a crowded area. I just walked in front of their camera. I do this to everyone, even people taking pictures who are very slow about it.

On one of our FREE days (which, of course, is always more crowded), we had an "instagram model" ask if we could "hold the crowd" from looking at a large painting so she could stand in front of it and do a photoshoot with no one else in the shot. My co- worker told them our jobs

After sighing dramatically, the "model" said she needed to plan a visit when the museum wasn't so busy. Co-worker told her she can schedule a private tour outside of museum hours for $5000 LOL

    heard what I said and cheered, the manager brought over a free muffin and asked what drink I would like. Apparently she does it all the time to whoever is sat there, more often than not to the elderly who only want two seats and not the four seaters.
