Well, it is not too difficult to see how and why this happened. Each one of them has their own problematic name. Wilson with his first name sounds like your neighbor who gets touchy about your bin placements. Eisenhower probably did not want to associate himself with the image of a small man trying to crush a giant. And Cleveland just did not want a name that rhymed and made him look like a Sesame Street character.
