fwagglesworth All these kittens just sauntering up to everyone and YOU get a bobcat. Not gonna lie, I'm super jealous
  • 03
rainbomg I'm glad you got him to a wild life center but this makes me so sad
  • 04
Chizzlemane840 I would have probably kept him and had a really wicked surprise in 6-9 months.
  • 05
ChimpyChompies Am I right in thinking bobcats are not pet material with potential chaos incoming?
  • 06
I_might_be_weasel Ignore logic. Embrace forbidden kitty.

[deleted] I would not have thought that was a bobcat. I am very much a citified indoor girl and would have believed it to be a regular cat.

girlwhopaints71 "'Scuse me... has you seen my mamma" Me: "oh sweet kitty, of a breed I've never seen, I am your momma now"....
  • 10
Months later at the vet..."ummmm I have a problem with my cat's behavior....."
  • 11
SonOfNod 100% chance I would have gone 3 months of raising this guy before I found out it's a bobcat.
  • 12
Lovi... , I would have definitely accidentally brought a bobkitten inside.
  • 13
Hive MindKing I would probably try to raise him- not really but a man can dream.
  • 14
Locupleto NGL I would be doing massive internet searching to see if I could raise it at home. Don't need to tell me it's a bad idea. I know but I would be so tempted to try.
  • 15
00Conductor Would have been extremely tempting to keep him in the name of "ignorance."
  • 16
timsquared If I saw that I would have known instantly it was a baby wild cat. I also would have known I was going to be bitten by a baby wildcat very shortly.

[del... It's possible he fell from your roof. Bobcats sometimes have kittens on peoplesezz roofs. They would typically give birth in cliffs, but their natural habitats are depleted.

Awa... It would have taken me much longer to figure that out. I'd just be like "this is amazing. I've never seen a kitten like that". Then I'd have raised him until he got big enough to escape. And now Petey lives outside and the HOA is super mad about it.

Indole_pos Ooo yea, guess I am one of those people that would mistakenly take a baby bobcat home.

    Bostonhook HES JUST A BABY!!!

[deleted] I hope would have figured this out before I adopted him and he started getting slightly bigger, more violent, and had stolen my heart completely. And from that first pic especially, I'm not sure.

Probably the vet I took him to would have told me before I really absorbed him into my family. Still. It would be sad to give him up after taking him in. Good job for knowing what was up!! I really don't know if I would have

circaboy101 My Dad rescued a bobcat back in the days when he was an RCMP officer. The mother was hit by a car and she has some kittens by her body. As the story goes he loved it a lot and it loved him but it kept trying to attack the mailman which led to complaints so eventually he found a wildlife shelter to take care of it.

godwins_law_34 good job calling. momma certainly would have cleaned that tick off his face before it got all big like that if she were around. poor little guy in the first pic has big "i got losted in the department store and can't find my mom" energy.
