According to some, there has never been a worse time to be on the internet. The search engines (and everywhere else, for that matter) are overrun with AI slop, every single different platform is trying to monetize every last drop of content on it to the detriment of its users, and in places like the UK, unwieldy regulations are being passed that threaten to the need to show government ID for the pleasure of using the likes of Wikipedia.

It's easy for this to get the average chronically online person feeling down. However, there is still a lot of good and entertaining stuff happening in this crazy old place, including plenty of memes to keep those procrastination juices flowing. Until the day that they completely pull the plug on the internet as we know it, people will be making dumb and humorous pictures to put on it. That's something to look forward to.
