‘When the wedding ceremony started, I realized I did not recognize anyone walking down the aisle’: 20+ guests who realized they were attending the wrong event a little too late

We've all been to weddings where we barely know anyone there. Some of us have even been to a wedding where we barely knew the bride or groom, like when your mom forces you to attend the wedding of your 3rd cousin. 

However, it is very rare to attend a wedding in which you know absolutely no one there, including the happy couple. The only times this can happen are if you are attending as someone's plus one or if you accidentally set foot in the wrong wedding completely. The latter, apparently, happens to quite a lot of people, if the stories below are any indication.

The wedding guest in the story below shared the story of how they only realized they were attending the wrong wedding in the middle of the ceremony. Only after their realization did they manage to slip out and go to the actual venue they were expected at. This silly story led others to share their funny experiences with accidents like that, and we had a lovely time reading them.
