Love finds a way in the most surprising of places, sometimes. It can come from a meowther cat taking in an orphaned litter of kittens, from finding a stray kitten on the side of the road, or between two unlikely animal friends. But what would life be without its little surprises that keep our days interesting? They fill our kitty-shaped hearts with joy, purrs, and wholesome feline feelings.

Feral cats are not known for being the friendliest cats. They can take a long time to warm up to hoomans and adjust to indoor life. But usually, when they finally relax, they are the biggest cuddle bugs. That's what happened below, after one animal lover spent months befriending a feral cat to turn her into a house cat and join their fuzzy family. The transition was ruff, but then she met her pawrents' 100 lb. rescue dog. We can't say here what he was rescued from, but it was not a pretty situation.

The two scarred souls found comfort in each other, and now they are furrever snuggle buddies. It's the purrfect story to inspire some misty eyes, a sniffle, and hope. You know where to find it!

  • Exactly - this is what safe looks like! We know our kitty is comfortable when she starts snuggling up next to anyone and everyone. We know she's feeling too comfortable when she starts to tempt us with the furrbidden belly. We know it's a trap, and yet, we cannot resist.

  • One day, we would like to adopt a rescue pupper, too. The cats would not be pleased, but they would get used to it once they learned that they could train them however they wanted. To them, they would be just another large, stoopid cat. When they already have two (us hoomans), what's the harm in one more?

    We had that here, too. The dog had been being prepped to be a bait dog when she was rescued, and the cat had been feral and hit by a car. My husband and I worked with both, and they became happy pets who bonded with each other because of their past pain.

    We have kept her separated for a month with supervised "interactions" but she can't seem to stop trying to get after him.

    She is also quite bitey with us. We are considering taking her to a shelter because it's very stressful for all involved but we don't want to give up on her :(
