‘I realized… my role as a parent’: Mom shares the wholesome moment her child made her understand just how important trust is as a parent

A parent recently came to Reddit to share a wholesome moment between her and her daughter, which had her realizing the importance of mutual trust between parent and child. When it comes to being a parent, insecurities comes with the job. One book is telling you to do this, another parent is telling you that's wrong, your Facebook parenting group mentions something you're "supposed to do" that you have never even heard of, and bla bla bla. The pressure never ends when you are a parent. But it really doesn't need to be that complicated. Do you love your child? Are you doing the best you can? Yes to both of those question? That's already top notch parenting. 

 

This mama took a small moment and fund a huge parenting lesson. It simply took her child confessing to her that she is afraid to walk across the dark nighttime lawn. The mom told her she is safe with her and that she will not let anything happen to her. And the child just grabbed her hand and trusted her full-heartedly. It was an act that the kid didn't even think twice about, but the mother's heart grew 10x after that and became that much wiser.
