Midwesterners love to post. You know this if you've ever been friends with a Midwestern mom on Facebook. You know that they will post anything, and they will post it accompanied by a paragraph-long caption. It's just the way of the land. If they didn't overshare about their children's first days of school and their journeys finding out that they were lactose-intolerant, then who would? That's right, nobody. And then Mark Zuckerberg would be forced to shutter his businesses because there would be nobody to keep them in use. 

We have a pretty good grip on social media over here. We may not be the quickest on the trends, but we've got a lot of heart and a dedication to posting our crockpot recipes. We love to laugh and to share, and that's what the internet is all about, underneath all the meanness and confusion. This is what brings us to these Midwestern memes.
