Howdy, folks and friends to all the adorable animals out there. To us, mirrors are a simple thing. They reflect light in a way that we can see our reflection, simple as that. But for our animal friends, a mirror is a very confusing thing. They don't understand that this thing in front of them isn't real, that it's only a reflection, and we've always wondered what goes through their brains when they see themselves in a mirror. Is it a friend or foe? Do they realize that it's them? Or do they just saunter on by and not care at all?
Well, we finally have the answers to our questions. One wildlife photographer set up a mirror in the jungle to secretly film animals' amazing reactions to seeing their reflection for the first time. The highlight of this short clip for us was when a leopard actually started playing with its own double. It's something you have to see, so scroll down to watch the full video below!
