Watch this golden retriever experience unfiltered joy as she discovers new backyard after living in an apartment her whole life

One of our goals in the next five years is to buy our own house. Yes, as unattainable as that seems to all of us millennials, we're putting in the work to do it. Not for ourselves, but for our doggo. She has only known living in an apartment her whole life, and as much as we try to take her to places where she can safely be off-leash, we know she would be so much happier if she had an outdoor space to call her own. 

And, selfishly, we would like to have our own little garden to eat our own mini cucumbers. And basil. You can never have too much basil.

That's why when we stumbled across this video, we felt we had to share it with you. Dogs are 100% honest, so when you see a dog happy, you know that they must be experiencing pure, unfiltered joy. The family in the clip below revealed their new backyard to their golden retriever, and the zoomies immediately started. She zips around from one massive corner to another, as happy as we've ever seen any doggo. It's the pawfect thing to enjoy on a Monday morning, when we could all use a little more pawsitivity.

  • We can't wait to show her (our pupper) her first-ever backyard. She's going to love it. She's a dog that needs to smell literally everything first, and then the zoomies start. We just hope she doesn't eat all of the vegetables we're planning on growing back there!

  • Listen, the market right now is tough for us middle-class millennials. We might have to buy a fixer-upper and fix it ourselves, but we will get there. We made a promise to ourselves and to our doggo. She deserves it, and so do we.
