‘Trust the name before the wallet:’ Shopkeeper teaches kid a lesson in trusting humanity and kid grows up to start his own business using the trust-first method, sparks other stories of paying it forward

A poor kid growing up went into a shop to purchase a utensil he needed to use for school. Unfortunately, he did not have enough money to afford it. Luckily, the shopkeeper told him he can just have it and pay him back later. All he did was put the date and take his name. The kid was so inspired he picked up extra chores to get the money and returned several days later to pay him the rest. It was so inspirational to this kid that this stranger would trust him with money, that when he grew up to start his own business, he used the same trust-first method. Now, he's spreading his story and encouraging everyone he sees to do the same. It's helped his business find exactly the right kind of clients he wants to work with. Others are also chiming in of times strangers trusted them over the money involved. Sometimes it's just small things can restore your faith in humanity.
