    "didn't want a sick dog" even tho the foster agency would pay for it. So we took her back and treated her for heartworm and fell in love and kept her.

    Now several years later they are inseparable friends, they kiss eachother, snuggle endlessly, and find comfort in one another.

    Rita has been diagnosed with lymphoma but we caught it super early and are treating it. The Dr thinks she could even live another 5 years and most likely pass from something else.

    Greger061 OP Agreed. Part of why we stepped up to foster was all the returns people did as they had to go back to work in person. Such a shame people give up so easily. My wife has a tailgate magnet that states, "Pet are not disposable."

    reallyrea... This is wonderful work you two are doing together! Sounds like a strong start to a good marriage. Covid gave dogs and cats to so many if us.
