Everyone always asks me why I like horror movies. Isn't it obvious? Who doesn't like being up all night having flashbacks of terrifying and eerie scenes that make me scared to dangle my hands and legs off the bed just in case there's a monster underneath? But in all honestly, because they're just like any other movies – full of delectable plots, characterization, and impressive cinematography. I could say I like horror movies for any other reason I would like any other movie. 

Take The Ring for example, the 1998 Japanese horror movie made such an impact on the world of horror that they remade the American film a few years later. The film isn't just about shaking in your seat, or screaming at a jump scene. It's actually beautifully, wonderfully well made. The effects, the slowness, the plot, and the justice that comes in the end are all hallmark aspects that make up any good movie, there just happens to be the added level of terror. Horror to me only means one thing, don't watch it alone. So enjoy these delicious horror movie facts and figures.
