AITBA for not going to work then refusing to go when my sister comes home from her job?

So basically, I (18M) called off work today. (I work as a cart attendant in the peak Florida heat).
  • 03
Later in the day, I was lying down and resting after doing some yard work when my sister (31F) came into my room.
  • 04
    She asked if I went to work. I told her no, I didn't. I didn't really have a solid reason to call out;
  • 05
I just worked a ton of hours back to back, and I was tired.
  • 06
After I told her, she started yelling and complaining, saying that she was going to take away my Uber fund of $200.
  • 07
I didn't even ask for. She said I wasn't doing anything and shouldn't call out for no reason.
  • 08
I then brought up the fact that earlier in the month, she called out of work for a week for seemingly no reason,
  • 09
so I didn't understand her point.
  • 10
When I said that, she went off about how I had no idea what it was like and started talking about kids (she is single).
  • 11
She also mentioned her old job, where she worked 40 hours a week, but I argued that her job was remote, so it wasn't the same as what I have to do.
  • 12
She claimed she was trying to get me a car, but I believe that's a lie because the car she mentioned was my other sister's broken car,
  • 13
which I heard she was going to fix up for herself.
  • 14
She then kept trying to make me get up and go to work, even though my shift started at 12:00, and by that time, it was already 4:00.
  • 15
I just wanted to know people's thoughts on this situation.

julesk NTBA, your sister is overbearing and you're an adult so next time she does this, tell her to mind her own business. You successfully

held your boundaries, which is great! It sounds like you called in because you've been working a lot in extreme heat. and were tired. That's fine and better than getting

heatst. e. You still did some yard work but it was too much. I'm not sure why you're not able to recognize you were exhausted and the heat was too much and tell

others that. It's worth looking into why, because you didn't call out to watch Netflix. Hoping you reach the point where you do self care like you just did, recognize it's good, and are able to tell others you overdid it and need rest.

Forgivence Reading more of the facts since you're staying with your parents to me. It just sounds like your sister is jealous that she isn't able to relax as much as you are. Even though you deserve it

DawnRaine Why is a 31 year old living with her parents? I wouldn't want lessons in taking responsibility from her unless she is their caregiver or something.

LastyearhereXXVL NTBA... disengage. When she says something, ask why she is stating an opinion. Please explain the Uber thing.
