26 Funny Feisty Felines Happily Informing Us That Their Cat Beds Are Strictly Decorative

If there is one thing that we can pass on to you as expurrt cat owners, it's this: expect the unexpected. Cats are purrfectly unpredictable. They like to keep you on your toes. One second, they love their feather toy, and the next second, it disgusts them more than a dirty litter box. One day, they love the food you've been feeding them for five years, and the next, they won't touch it with a 10-foot pole. But the thing you can never predict, not even if you think you know your cat like the back of your hand, is whether your cat is going to use their cat bed or not.

Yes, our funny feisty felines are all too happy to inform us that the $70 we spent on their orthopedic cat bed is purrrely decorative. A piece of meowdern art, if you will. To be appreciated visually, but not touched. Why should they touch it, when they have a purrfectly nice cardboard box to lie down in? Or, even better yet, an empty egg carton? Our cats will sleep in literally anything except their cat beds, but the second we try to take them away, they'll become interested. Purrhaps they're not so unpredictable after all.

Cardboard we can kind of understand - it has at least some cushion. But a metal pan? What are these cats thinking? It's quite literally as hard as a rock, and most of the time, cold. Cats typically don't like either of those things. But like we said above, you can never truly predict what a cat wants. Except for tuna, cats always want tuna.

Oh, you dear, sweet cat child. Although you look purrfectly adorable in that mop bucket, it really isn't meant for relaxation. It's probably very dirty, and you are 100% going to knock it over, scare yourself, then probably do something rash like try to climb up the curtains. It's a recipe for disaster, and we're not hungry at all.
