It's not a great feeling to have to constantly defend your own choices. You want to stand ten toes down in your decisions and not let anyone get you down. It can be hard to do this when you're showing your life on the internet, though. People are going to come at you swinging with opinions and hot takes. That's sort of the name of the game.

This extends to your living situation. There are billions of ways you can orient your life. You can live in a city, the suburbs, or in the middle of nowhere. You can rent an apartment, own a house, or steward the land that has been passed down from generation to generation. The luck of your birth plus the happenstance of your life can take you many different directions. And one of those choices, a choice that millions of people make year after year, is moving to New York City to live in a shoebox apartment for way too much money. It's a tale as old as time. And just as long as people have been doing that, others have been judging.
