This is him now...

... But a year ago, he looked like this

“This is Apollo. My fiancé found him at the school he previously taught at in May 2024, and he was extremely malnourished and covered in mange. He was outdoors for his entire treatment because of how contagious mange is to humans and our cats (we have 4 rescue cats). He took about 3 months to fully heal and another few months to fully grow his beautiful coat”
-
“Now he’s inside full time, on all of our adventures with us, and always smiling. There is one year between the first and last picture. A lot of people are asking how we treated the mange, and we used happy jack mange medicine and medicated shampoo to calm the irritation, but the bravecto pill was the main thing to kill the mites and he would not have healed without that pill. I want to be very clear on that because a situation like this cannot be treated with only over-the-counter medications. If you take on a challenge like this, just know that a pill to kill the mites is necessary and it can only be obtained through a vet (or Mexico, in our case).”

Husky grooming is a lot of work. With so many layers of dense hair, oftentimes husky owners will lament the dusty bunnies and the floof piles in the corners of their home. However, after over a year of dedicated, diligent care, this couple's husky grew back all of his luscious locks, and they celebrated every strand of fur on his cute little head.
They say you never truly love something until it's gone, but this husky takes that mantra to the next level.
