'My cat doesn't recognize me': Person dyes their hair blue, comes back home to their cat, and the feline has the most hissterical reaction

Cats like their habits, and they very much dislike change. Cats get startled by anything and everything, even the smallest changes in their environment. Cats have funny reactions to smells that they find unfamiliar and maybe a little unpleasant. If you think that you have a hard time with change, then you have never actually met a cat. Not possible. 

So, really, it's not surprising that this cat had a funny reaction to its owner dying their hair blue. Big change right there. The color, the smell of the chemicals… it's a lot for any human to handle, let alone a sensitive cat. And although it is sad in some ways to get that kind of a reaction from your cat to a change in your look, it is also… hilarious. Truly. We don't remember snorting quite as honestly at a picture of a suspicious cat in quite a long time, and we have to thank you for it from the bottom of our hearts.

  • We don't know if this cat doesn't recognize you or is simply suspicious about the new look and smell. Suspicious he is though. Very much so. Hilariously so, in fact. And we so very understand why he's getting all the attention that he is online right now.

    YT-Deliveries When I let my hair and beard go, then go to shave it all off, one of my boys becomes VERY concerned and will walk back and forth on the bathroom counter while I have the clippers going.

  • Oh, we would have been heartbroken if this happened to us. Laughing, yes, but also heartbroken. Getting this kind of a reaction to a new hairdo from anyone is hard, but getting this from your cat is so painful… painfully hilarious. The two of you are going to be just fine, it's just going to take a second for him to get used to it.
