Adorable cheetah mom introduces her little cheetos to a photographer, leading to the most wholesome interaction between humans and wildlife

We love all cats here at ICHC, but we have to say that cheetahs… cheetahs have a special place in our hearts. Not necessarily because they are any cuter than any other cat or big cat, but because of the purrsonalities that they have. Cheetahs love humans, seriously. They are the least spooky wild cat to encounter on the outside. Cheetahs like cuddling with humans and making friends with them. Cheetahs also purr and meow. Yes, like regular cats. They are the only big cat that can actually purr, and we cannot help but just- love that so much. 

Cheetahs also have their cheetos, also known as cheetah cubs, also known as the mini version of a cheetah, which makes them all that much cuter. And they have to be taught how to be adorable with humans from an early age. That's in the nature rule book. And this momma is following it purrfectly, introducing her itty bitty cubs to this wildlife photographer.

  • It's the fact that she calls them over that makes us so happy. It's not simply a happenstance that these cheetah cubs were in the vicinity of this photographer. No, momma cheetah wanted to introduce them, so she made sure that they were there, and we think that is awesome.

  • We also think that we don't understand why this kind of stuff never happens to us. Have we not done enough? Have we not written enough about how much we love big cats? We deserve it, we truly do. And if we end up on the news for trying to pet something that we shouldn't have, then we promise you one thing: we will not regret it.
