Entitled teenagers cut the line at Disneyland ride, only to be kicked out of the ride by Disney worker after a dad in line calls them out: ‘Head to the back of the line and wait like everyone else’

There is no line in the world that people don't try to cut in one way or another–in grocery stores, banks, theme parks, and even in traffic jams. People will always try to avoid the waiting of it all. They are too busy, too important, to wait like the rest of us, the peasants who follow the rules.

The question is, when you see someone cutting in line, what do you do? Do you keep quiet and let them get away with it, or do you confront them and put them in their place (which is hopefully in the back of the line, where they should be)?

The dad in the story below initially kept quiet and allowed a group of three teenagers to cut him and his family in line for a Disney ride. After all, they were meeting their friends there, which could have been excusable. But when another part of that group of teenagers cut the line right at the front of the ride, this dad was no longer willing to let that slide.

    About two weeks ago my large family took a trip to Disney Land. About 22 of us in total.

    About half way into it, three young teenage girls walked passed us, one was on her phone and the other two smiling and drinking their drinks.

    They at least had the decency to say "excuse me." They hopped a couple of barriers and met up with some friends that I assumed were the ones the girl was on the phone with.

    The doors open and its finally our turn. As we're literally about to walk on, THREE more girls show up and say excuse me and walk right past us into the waiting area.

    alyxblythe Ive done something similar. Waiting in line for a horror attraction, this group of people is in front of us, a couple people cut in line with them, whatever. But then they just. Keep. Coming. So I say "seriously?" And an older male of the group let me and the person I was with 'skip' them

    OP LordWingManny Good for you! I've always made it a point to say something. When I was younger we would show up early for concerts and wait in line to get closer to the front. Some people in front of us did something similar to your situation and I called them out on it. Almost became a big issue till one of my buddies, who's 6'4" and built like an Ox, got them to see the error of their ways did they leave.

    Forward_Deer9230 I'm glad you stood up for yourselves, OP. But I am not happy about the reaction from the Disney folks. Forgive me if this sounds like an old man rant, but back in my day growing up in Dallas (Gen X, 1980's), Six Flags Over Texas used to have signs all over the park warning that "Line jumping will result in immediate removal from the park." So now, all they do is tell them to go to the back of the line? As if! What they were really saying was, "Go back and try again."

    BWayOlyGal8 Good for you. When I take students on school trips to theme parks, I specifically lay down the law on holding spots for others and cutting lines. Like I put the fear of all things in them about this. Drives me nuts. Holding a spot for one friend going to the bathroom is way different than multiple people jumping into the line. Just ride.
