  • So I uber as my main job. It works for me for now because life threw me the biggest curveball ever (cryptic pregnancy found out a week and a half before I was due, thought I had time to figure stuff out and ended up having a healthy babygirl despite previous health conditions.
  • Side note, got everything I needed for her the three days I was in the hospital.
  • Miracle baby for sure. My lil blessing) I live in Phoenix and if you know anything about Az drivers you see entitlement daily on the road.
  • Anyways I had just dropped off my kiddo at my cousins house and needed to get gas so I stopped at QT.

  • Got my drink and waited in line. Im already running 30 minutes behind when I wanted to get on the road and start working.
  • As I'm waiting both cashiers are full 2 customers for each person. This man walks in and is trying to get their attention while others and myself wait in line.
  • Waving his $100 bill around not getting anywhere with the cashiers attention. Mind you, before I had my kiddo I wouldn't say much and just let things slide because Whats the point of making yourself mad when others are just selfish and you can't change who they are no matter what.
  • Water off a ducks back type of mentality I've worked hard to get. But that day something snapped in me.
  • As soon as the next person was done he tries to cut and I look this man de d in the face and say with all seriousness and tell him "you can wait.

  • I was here first and there's others in line before you." This man looked at me like I was speaking another language, to be fair I'm pretty sure he didn't speak English.
  • I Pay in 5 seconds and as I'm done look at him again and say "was that so hard to wait?" That man was so ped off I didn't just let him cut in front of everyone.
  • Gave me the dirtiest look ever. And walked out to pump my gas and deal with the crazy Az drivers.
  • See I don't mind if you ask first. I'm a pretty chill girly and normally super understanding because we all go through things and life is already hard as it is.
  • But if you're just gonna be entitled and r de my hormonal behind is gonna let you know.
  • Also I blame the kiddo for me calling out boomers at the Costco gas station. Because I have stories from there also.
  • labbykun I work at a gas station and people do this far too often. I once had a guy wearing a motorcycle helmet cut the line and drop money on the counter for gas and walk away. Didn't tell me which pump or anything. I muttered, "I don't even know what pump you're on," and the guy who was next shouted at the motorcycle guy *"HEY WHAT PUMP GENIUS?"* The motorcycle guy paused and looked confused before telling me the pump. That was when I was newer. Nowadays I let their money sit there until I'm d
  • OP gabzombie I've worked at a few gas stations myself and it blows my mind. I usually got hit on by men sol didn't really have to deal with the rudeness. Just weird dudes cause I lived in the tiniest town in North Dakota. All oil field men and there was a running joke "there's as many trees in this town as there are women" and during one of my uber rides I picked up a tough necker who worked in the same city and said he had another one for me "behind every 3rd tree is a pretty girl." I looked at
  • Going NutCracken Good for you!
  • OP gabzombie Thank you.
  • Breaker3k Don't off mamma bear!
  • OP gabzombie Oh it's so much worse when I get to driving and some dummy tries to hit me with my kid in the car. Found a loop hole to crashing out without losing my freedom lol. If they end up succeeding in the the crash (my customers always comment that my reaction time is on point and I've gotten myself and customers out of some almost fatal accidents) If ya ever see a video of a bigger 6ft tall woman beating the crop out of someone's car, just know they caused the accident and I'm having my va
  • SapphireCorundum No f s left to give, except for your baby. Congratulations!
  • OP gabzombie Oh yeah, no, I didn't think I'd adapt to a momma bear so quickly especially not knowing and it's Defo become a funny thing to watch from my eyes.
  • Used Valuable2013 One underrated point here is that it was at a QuikTrip. Of every gas station/convenience store I've ever been in (and that includes Wawa and Sheetz), QT hands down has the most efficient and professional cashiers, along with a button to push if they need backup. Those lines get reduced very quickly. Particularly when each cashier can handle two customers at a time because of the way their system and credit card readers are set. People trying to cut the line there are just flami
  • OP gabzombie That's why i believe something in me snapped that day. Just the complete ignorance. I don't as there for maybe less than a minute before Douch canoe showed up waving that $100 bill.
  • AileenFaye Some ppl just need to learn the hard way that the world don't revolve around them.
  • OP gabzombie While unknowingly pregnant with my kiddo and afterwards I blame her for me putting people in their place lately. And I'm a big girl. 6ft 300 something pounds. So when I say something they immediately think imma hurt them. Naw I'm just a mouthy cuddly teddy bear but don't put up with people and their selfishness lately.
  • Olysea23 OMG, seriously tho? Ppl like this are legit why I've lost faith in humanity. 100% not cool, and TBH, pretty much a prime example of what's wrong with society rn.
  • OP gabzombie I also lost faith when I went to a rental car location to switch out my rental car. My mom brain kicked in and I thought I grabbed her formula. I sadly did not and I was 2 minutes away from a disaster for lil miss. I left to go to the store and grab some. Mind you when I was there I had a spot to sit. As soon as I get back the lobby is full. No one got up and I had to sit there on the floor and feed my month old. I Defo was running my mouth at that moment because how do all these pe
  • Duelce9121 I'm surprised Tucson hasn't sucked you back in - it has a reputation of doing so. I totally get what you mean about using back streets though! And learning how to avoid the cops...
  • OP gabzombie Oh love. Ive been trying to leave that h I hole on and off for 10 years. I finally realized I love Arizona too much to leave and Tucson is just a black hole that no one wants to grow in. They all want to stay the same and now grow. Stay the same toxicity that is Tucson. We call it the DirtyT for a reason. It's just a trailer park with a college smack dab in the middle of it.
  • Famous-Upstairs 998 Good for you! Just fyi post partum hormones are really something else. Changes in mood, personality, etc can be from PPD, PPA, and sleep deprivation, not to mention the stress of a new baby. Seriously, I think you did the right thing but if you find your temper is still really short after a month or two, you might want to talk to your doctor. Even just being aware that it is a thing can be useful.
  • OP gabzombie Oh trust me I know. I've worked hard on my mental health and have worked to not be this way. But it's slowly come back and it's been a hard struggle. Defo a learning curve and ive been watching my moods because I know when I'm going down hill mentally. It hasn't happened but I'm still being aware as much as possible. Thank you for the kind words. It means a lot to me.
  • NavyGuy1993 I live in the West Valley a D hate the drivers here. Got rid of my motorcycle due the crazy drivers running red lights. Congratulations on your baby.
  • OP gabzombie Thank you. Funny thing happened when I first moved out here my best friend looked me de d in the face and said "do me a favor and don't take off immediately at a green light." "what why?" "People run red lights like it's nothing." We were coming off a residential street one day (in the west valley) and the light turns green he tells me "it's green" and my goofy comedic loving a looks at him and moves my hand across the dashboard and say "I can't go" as this huge truck goes past us.
