'Kittens are the best’: Cat befriends man during a storm, leads him to her kittens stuck in a drain, rescues them and creates a big happy fur family

Not every family is purrfect, unless you're a cat mama. We said what we said. Cats are elite. Period. So when a cat mama comes up to you purring and asking for help, you follow! And that is exactly what happened to this now-cat-dad of three. In the middle of the day, during a small storm, a cat came to his door. He decided to feed her and she decided she liked the place and was going to stick around. She enjoyed the entire day, but once night fell, she started meowing like crazy. Concerned, the man was wondering what was wrong. It seemed like she was trying to lead him somewhere, so he decided to follow. When he did, she led him to a pipe drain where her two kittens were stuck.

With help from his roommate, they were able to pry open the grate and drain and rescue the kittens. He took them to the vet, got the clear that all was well, and decided to keep them all. Now, he live with his fur family of three and the little rescued furbabies seem so happy. But not as happy and grateful as their mama, who is basically smug with knowing she made the right choice coming to this man for help. Now they're living the high life!

"Alright, story time.This is off topic from what I usually post about, but I felt like I had to share this cause what the heck. I was minding my business, cooking my lunch, and all of a sudden this cat just walks into my house, middle of a thunderstorm. So I decided, you know what? Let me feed it some food. And my mistake. She decided not to leave after that. Um, she decided this was her house. And you know what? I decided to keep her. Not in a financial position to do so, but my heart was telling me it was the right thing.

So I let her into my room. She loved it. Pretty chill cat. I went to Petsmart, grabbed some litter, I got some more pet food for her. Yeah, and she chilling.
Come night time, she started meowing like crazy. So I let her out and she leads me to a window. Well, in the back of my house, in the window well, there was a little pipe. And there were two kittens stuck inside the pipe. And she was trying to dig them out and she was begging me to help her get them."

"I ran and grabbed my roommate, Big Nate. We got some tools out of his truck and we pried the dang pipe open and got these two kittens out. Thankfully, they weren't injured in any way. They were just a bit dirty from being in that pipe. And it seems as if they were born that same exact day, which we're really lucky for them. We reunited them in the garage with Mama Cat, and she was just so relieved to have them back. All thanks to Big Nate and his big, big muscles, we got these beautiful kittens saved and rescued.
Next we had to take him to the vet cause mom cat was sneezing like a freaking maniac and one of the kittens had a scratch on their ear which was attracting maggots. So we threw them in the car, drove on over. Turns out everything was okay. Mama Cat just had a slight fever and we got some meds for her. And the maggots on the kitten's ear were actually beneficial to her wound. I'm just grateful we got them the care that they needed on time."

The new cat dad said he wasn't in a financial position to take care of a family of cats, but something in his gut told him to.
