Ratatouille isn't just a movie, it's a personality trait. Pixar gave us a heartfelt reminder that "anyone can cook," even if that someone is a rat who lives in a French sewer. And let's be real, Remy did more for the culinary world than half the Food Network lineup.

When I was 10, my birthday cake was Ratatouille-themed, complete with Remy and Emile on top, obviously. My mom even made ratatouille the dish, which, in hindsight, was an ambitious move for a children's party. Still, it was the best birthday ever, and it cemented the movie as my all-time favorite.

Now with Ratatouille 2 officially in the works, how can you think about anything else? The original gave us an entire cast of characters worth quoting: Linguini, who can barely boil water; Colette, who should’ve been running the kitchen all along; and Anton Ego, the food critic who delivered what is still Pixar’s most poetic monologue. The sequel has big shoes to fill — and yes, I’m talking about Remy’s little chef hat too.
