Take me back to the McDonald's Play Place. I know they exist now, but it's not the same. Plus, I can't squeeze my adult body through the tube slide anymore. But those were the days. House a happy meal with apple slices and get a new Hot Wheel for your trouble, and then spend what felt like hours in the ball pit getting your absolute life. That's what childhood is all about. No screens, just vibes, and that one scary kid from a neighboring town. 

Things aren't how they used to be, and a lot of that is for the better. But for what it's worth, I miss Blockbuster. Somehow, it was easier to choose a movie when there was a physically finite number of options. Now there are infinite. I want to run my fingers along the VHSs and see what jumps out to me. I also miss music videos on MTV. I don't even know what's on MTV these days. Reboots of the Jersey Shore? There is no way to know. But there are ways to remember.
