Another workday is ahead of us, and as usual, we find ourselves contemplating whether we should get up and get productive or call in sick and spend the day doing absolutely nothing with our cats at home. And as usual, we have no answer. It's a real dilemma. Of course, we cannot make a decision like this with the alarm blaring beside us and filling us with negative fumes. We can only make it after we smile, and to smile right now, we need one thing and one thing only - we need funny cat memes. 

This is our solution to the morning's conundrum. Silly cat memes. Seriously. Because beginning our day by gently snorting at a bunch of ridiculous cat memes means starting our day with a smile, and once you smile, the decisions you make are much more likely to be the right ones. It's crucial to start your day on the right paw, and then, if you call in fake sick, at least you can do it knowing that you'll spend the rest of your day happy.

  • Listen, we, as cat owners, have to get creative sometimes. Cats can't really be trained. Even the ones smart enough to understand you often choose not to listen, especially when it comes to something that they really, really want.     I've been very worried about Cheesecake lately, because she is so bulbous. I was worried about worms, or worse, fluid build up from FIP. I took her to her vet yesterday. They ran some tests. Looked for fluid. I was a stricken with anxiety, heart racing. Untreated FIP is usually fatal to kittens and losing Cheesecake would be too much. The vet comes back into my room and hands me my carrier with Cheesecake back in it. Her face doesn't indicate much. She looks at me. I look at her. I'm terrified.

  • It really is little things like this that make having cats so, so worth it. Anything that they do - even if it's just sitting in a little basket, fills us with so much joy. Truly, they have us smiling at the smallest things, and they help us appreciate the amazingness of those little things. Cats are everything to us.
