AITA for telling my cousin her toddler can’t play in my brand new pool because she “deserves a break”?

Skip the guilt. Pools stay nice when the rules hold and nobody ends the day fishing action figures from the filter. Toddlers do not have union contracts. They will survive a grownup afternoon and the only thing anyone deserves is to chill without lifeguard duty sneaking up when least expected. If that makes the generosity police unhappy there is always next weekend for them to find another pool to invade.
