19-year-old college student gets even with loud roommate for always having friends over on weeknights by changing the WiFi password without telling her 'OMG, the WiFi isn't working!'

Sometimes, revenge is a dish best served with a poor internet connection.

Being a college student inevitably means you'll experience a few sleepless nights. Sometimes, that lack of sleep is a direct result of your own questionable decision-making. Maybe you shouldn't have gone out three nights in a row, or maybe you shouldn't have left all that studying to the last minute.

However, every so often, college students are actually trying to do the responsible thing, and the reason behind those sleepless nights is not self-inflicted. In this instance, a 19-year-old student happened to be living with a roommate who had a very different perspective on maintaining decorum and quiet after hours. 

She always invited friends over to lounge, party, play video games, etc. It got to the point of no return for the author. She tried to tell her roommate to be more respectful, and the roommate expressed that she would keep her well-being in mind. However, she never followed through. In fact, she just kept inviting more and more folks over to hang out until the early hours of the morning.

So the author was left with no choice but to make her roommate's life just as inconvenient…

  • You have to hand it to the author for even thinking of changing the WiFi password on her roommate without telling her. It's the kind of petty act that is so easy to execute and yet so many people never consider that option. Kudos to her for conveniently “forgetting” such a long password and ruining the night not only for her roommate but also for all her unwanted visitors. Time to get home, people!
