Now, we have been cat aficionados long before we adopted our first feline. We have, for our entire lives, loved funny cat memes and cute cat pictures. It's part of why we so desperately wanted a cat in the first place. But we have to say that even though we knew a lot about cats before, over our time as cat owners, we have learned so, so much more. And one of the things that we learned is that orange cats… are different.

Of course, we thought we were crazy at first. There is no reason for them to be different, is there? But then we started talking to people, and to our utmost surprise, we found out that not only do people agree with us about our assessment, there is even an explanation for it online. Orange cats have one braincell. Just one. For all of them. And since there are so many orange cats, the braincell might not reach them all ever. And you know what? Somehow, this made us love them even more.

We don't know what it is about orange cats that makes them so unique, but it cannot be argued with that they are. Too many people agree on it. Too many people have seen it with their own two eyes. It's like the universe wanted to give us a reason to like orange cats more than we already did, and it worked.

We think that this needs to be studied further. Clearly, the braincell issue surpasses gender when it comes to orange cats. They all share the one braincell between them, but we wonder, do female orange cats get it more often… less often… Female orange cats are unique, but how unique are they?
