Black cats have a bad reputation and a good sense of humor. Like a goth kid realizing who they really are for the first time, black cats are the una-void-ably cute, dark-souled, bearers of the night in the cat world. Spawning from the shadows like a golden-eyed feline spirit, black cats never cease to surprise their hoomans. You thought you were alone in the kitchen? No way, the little fur critter, camouflaged in the darkness like Nosferatu, absolutely senses us coming, planning their ambush with mischievous intent and a snarky meow in whispers.
Ancient cultures saw black cats as a bad omen, but truthfully, they were just flabbergasted by their mysterious comings and goings, labeling them with bad juju before they could return the favor with impish whimsy. Cats were born to play tricks on us humans, and it's our responsibility to reward that instinct with treats. So crack open that can of wet food and find your nearest feline (if you dare), and if you're lucky, that black cat will become your good luck charm.
