Hello, everybody.
[This is] me and olive... I've gotten a lot of comments of concern, and I just want to reassure everybody that this is not our first time taking care of a kitty this young. And we're in constant communication with the vet. Her first appointment is tomorrow and she's under 24-7 monitoring. Like, I have not slept since the incident. I've gotten eight hours of sleep since Sunday night.
It was a horrific experience that I'm still trying to process, but I'm just so glad that we were able to get her out and save her. And she's doing so well. She's been using the bathroom with proper simulation and been able to eat properly. A lot of people want me to name her after the AC unit. Personally, I don't want to name her after something that almost took her life. Again, that moment was very traumatic. It took two whole hours of us attempting to get her out.
A lot of people asked me to create a GoFundMe, which I, me and my family, decided to do, even though we are not in any means desperate for donations, and we're not using this situation to exploit her whatsoever, which I feel like happens a lot of the time when people put up a GoFundMe. I only put up a GoFundMe cause multiple people in my comment sections asked if they could donate to get her, like, a little toy or what not, or help with, the vet bills and whatever. And that's only reason why I decided to do so. I personally, I like to donate, but I do agree that a lot of people take advantage of situations like this, and I just don't want anyone to think that's what me and my family are doing, because in no means that's what we're doing at all.
No matter the expenses of anything, we will still provide care for her, no matter what, and she is here to stay with me and my family. I live with my parents for now. When I move out, she'll be staying with them, and I'll visit all the time. I've gotten a lot of comments that are very critical and very concerned. And I agree. A lot of people do take on situations like this and don't know how to properly accommodate to their needs and neglect them and what not and don't see the vet. And me and my family are nothing like that. Again, we have rescued multiple cats. I posted a video of all the cats that me and my boyfriend personally have rescued, which now includes olive.

We are very passionate about cats. A lot of cats get overlooked in society, and it just breaks my heart that stuff like this happens. And I also want to reassure you guys that there was no possibility that someone, a human, put her in there. You can't tell, but the hole was probably the size of… a golf ball. Most likely she got scared and somehow squeezed her body inside, and then when she turned around to try and get out, her head got stuck. Because those two holes are the only entrances, and also it is an industrial AC unit. It was 400 to 500 pounds.
So I just want to reassure everybody, although I know that stuff happens like this constantly from horrible people putting cats, especially, in horrific environments and situations. But this is not the case for this rescue, which is good… I will be posting her all the time. Hopefully I will get some sleep soon. And also, I've have ginormous bug bites literally all over my body from saving her. It was again a really, really traumatic experience, but it ended up being a wonderful moment, and I am so glad that I was there for her. So, yeah, stay tuned. I will post a story time soon. I'm still trying to reflect on everything and think about everything… I'll continue posting more updates and let you know how the vet visit goes tomorrow.
