Family adopts adorable shelter pup with an identity crisis that's melting the internet's heart: 'She's definitely 95% bear cub'

One thing you can be sure of when adopting a puppy is falling in love at first sight. Those big, round eyes, the fur that's softer than the inside of a brand new sweatshirt, the puppy kisses, the way they just fall asleep three minutes after zoomies - it's nearly impawssible not to be smitten with them immediately. However, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Underneath all that cuteness is a land shark waiting to attack your hands and ankles, who cries in the middle of the night because they're lonely, and may or may not be a baby bear. Wait, what?

The family below went to a shelter to adopt a puppy, and came back with what we're pretty sure is a bear cub. They're still waiting for the DNA results, but this puppy has the squarest head and most awwdorable paws we've ever seen, and once you see them, you'll pawfectly understand what we're talking about.

All jokes aside, this puppy is probably a mix of a Chow-Chow, Akita, and a bunch of other dog breeds, but we wouldn't be upset if her results came back and there was about 10% bear in there. However, her adorable identity crisis is melting the hearts of everyone on the internet, including ours. This is why we love adopting, you'll never find a doggo this cute that's purebred! Adopt don't shop, hug your doggos for us, and if you have the space in your heart and home, go foster a doggo in need. You might just change their life.

We're sure she didn't spend much time in the animal shelter at all. With a face like that, she must have been the #1 pick for all the families out there looking to add a cute canine to their home. Or the ones looking to add a beautiful bear cub, but we're not sure how many families were actually looking to adopt a bear.

It's a good thing we didn't find her first. We wouldn't be able to work with a puppy like that around. Who can focus on goals for the end of the year when that baby bear is sleeping next to you or demanding snuggles?
