Memes are like catnip to humans. We get all feisty and excited when they're around, knowing a good laugh and some uplifting vibes are headed our way. The only difference is that human beings don't start skittering around the kitchen floor on all fours, scrambling up the curtains for a glimpse from up above. 

Cats are built different. 

Feral in every aspect apart from their plushy cat bed and carpeted tower, cats give the impression that they're fancy and regal, but deep down, the beast within rests. Awakened by the sweet smell of catnip, kitties go wild and revert to their former selves. Claws bared, teeth pointy, and ears flat on their heads, they'll scatter and skitter and run amok in the house until they've had their fill. Announcing to their household that they are the king or queen of this realm and their whimsical whims must be abided.
