Driving at night can be fraught with dangers, but what this woman found, unforeseen in the dark, was a lifelong buddy and a soul-bonded puppy just waiting to be discovered. But first, she would have to endure the emotional rollercoaster of her dog-loving fate. 

At first, she thought the puppy was a fox, dashing across the highway in the void of the night, but it was actually a scared, malnourished stray, covered in paint and desperately calling out for a hooman hand to help him. Luckily for both these kindred souls, the woman went back for him, scooping him into her arms and embarking on a night she would never—could never—forget.   • Distraught with sadness, she turned around the next day and went back to the shelter, unable to leave her soul buddy behind. Bonding with the puppy overnight really turned her heart to mush (understandably), and any self-respecting dog lover would have done the same thing.
