Girlfriend betrays boyfriend when she says she wants kids, despite them agreeing not to have any, causing him to break up with her: 'Four years down the drain'

At the end of a long relationship, it's easy to have the perspective that it was a waste of time. Of course, there are life lessons to learn there, but it's also your precious time and energy all spent to actually build nothing with someone. As we get older and we have more breakups, it can feel extra tough to realize how many years it's been. The man in the story below feels exactly like that. He's in his late 20s, and has been with his girlfriend for 4 years. They both agreed to not have children, and he even did a procedure to ensure he couldn't get her pregnant. Well, now she's coming to him and telling him that she might want children, which is not a small thing to say after this kind of agreement. 

He of course is livid. It's the main predicator for their breakup, because how can he stay with someone who betrayed him, and how could he feel comfortable now?
