• Most of the time, when we come across stories about overbearing parents, the takeaway is that the parents need to emotionally let go and accept the fact that their kid is now an adult. In this instance, the protectiveness was simply an act. Instead, this mother needed to let go because she likely was withholding her daughter's documentation from her in order to commit fraud in her daughter's name. Parenting does not get much worse than that, folks!
