‘My husband witnessed a dog get dumped on our street.’: A heartless holiday season act of abandonment is thwarted by a Texan couple who rescued a dog, eventually finding him loving home with extended family after there was no room at the rescue

There are far too many cases in which a doggo is dumped by the side of the road. One can only wonder what is going through the person's mind who commits these transgressions seeing as they are putting their ex-pupper in one of the most dangerous situations at worst and at best leaving them to expire due to hunger.

And while today's abandoner did happen to leave a pile of food for their ex-doggo, the shameful act they committed is no better for having offered a little bit of help. Thankfully, a good Samaritan saw what was happening and instead of leaving the problem to be dealt with by someone else, they took it upon themselves to make a difference in this doggos life. And boy oh boy did they come up with a classic happy ending for this pawdorable pupper.

  • Wow, this really hurts to hear. Just think how painful it must have been for the dumped doggo to so obviously see that their pawrent is leaving them and not coming back. It almost feels like it would be less cruel to have left the doggo without the food. At least that way they might have had just a tiny bit of hope their pawrent would come back.

  • Honestly, it really brings tears to our eyes to see this happening time and time again. There are so many different ways to pass on a pupper to a new home that will love and cherish them that does not entail being cruel and evil by dumping a doggo.
