You know those chilly fall mornings, when you're sitting in the office, drinking your first cup of coffee of the day, and something about it is just… not purrfect. Something is missing. That little hint of sweetness that we love. We sit there and wonder what it is that doesn't feel quite right, and we realize… oh no, we forgot to scroll through some funny cat memes this morning. That's why it feels like we woke up on the wrong paw. 

To us, it is beyond impurrtant to start the day with a bunch of hilarious cat memes. It is essential. We are not ourselves without it. If we step out of bed in the morning without laughing at some precious cat memes, who even are we? Silly cat memes are the only thing that has kept us functioning through the madness of the past… five years. We would have been lost without it. And now, we are addicted. It's a habit. But it's one habit that we don't want to break. Bring on the memes, guys, we need them.

    I've been very worried about Cheesecake lately, because she is so bulbous. I was worried about worms, or worse, fluid build up from FIP. I took her to her vet yesterday. They ran some tests. Looked for fluid. I was a stricken with anxiety, heart racing. Untreated FIP is usually fatal to kittens and losing Cheesecake would be too much. The vet comes back into my room and hands me my carrier with Cheesecake back in it. Her face doesn't indicate much. She looks at me. I look at her. I'm terrified.

  • It's one of the worst stats that we know about cats. There are a bunch of them, of course, but this one… hits close to home. The fact that black cats are the least adopted in shelters because people actually believe that they are “bad luck” breaks our hearts. More pictures like this are needed. This is the kind of stuff that makes people love cats.

  • It's actually one of the best parts about being a cat owner. Showing off. It doesn't matter whether the person in front of us has cats or not, we will show off our furbaby to them. And they will love it. Because we said so. Hmm… maybe that's what people with kids think too.
