Owners abandon their cat in apartment complex stairwell, neighbor finds the crying cat and desperately calls nearby shelters, internet chimes in with advice on how to care for the little guy

Sometimes having neighbors in an apartment complex can feel akin to having roommates in an apartment. There's still respect, communication, and other things at play that make it feel like you can't just do whatever you want whenever you want. There are repercussions to actions, and if you abandon a small kitty randomly, then your neighbors might find out and try to do something about it. 

In the story below, the narrator finds a cat in a stairwell. They contacted the owner and found out that the owner's aunt kicked the cat out, but there's no indication that anything is happening with the cat. The owners don't seem to be interested in getting the cat back. The rescuers do everything in their power to call shelters around to try and donate the cat, but all the shelters are full.   • This is a hard story to read. If only the people who found the cat were able to take care of him. It's a shame that all the shelter are full. How could the owners just dump the cat to the curb like that? Why didn't they try to rehome it?
