25 Very Questionable Design Choices That Made Us Say “Why Would You Do That?”

"The customer is always right in matters of taste," they say. And technically… sure. If someone hires you to make a dress entirely out of "No Smoking" signs, you smile and say, "Absolutely, ma'am." If they want a coffee table made out of an old wheelbarrow with three legs and a family of spiders still living in it? Go right ahead. It's their table. Their problem. Their extremely confusing aesthetic.

Because here's the thing: we're not here to judge. (Okay, we are absolutely here to judge, but only silently. And by silently I mean loudly, via internet listicles.)

Sometimes a design choice is so bewildering it crosses the line from bad to brilliant and then loops back around to "please never show me this again." From cursed furniture and poorly placed graphics to architecture that makes you question gravity and sanity, these are 25 design decisions that feel like pranks on the entire human race.

We don't know why. We just know we can't look away.
