29-year-old bartender stuck on closing shift gets even with work enemy by sabotaging her opening shift the next morning: '[She] completely has it out for me'

Having an enemy at work who is intent on sabotaging your job is a complete misplacement of employment frustration.

Nine times out of ten, your real problem with your workplace environment has nothing to do with the new hire. Instead, you should be taking your frustrations out on management. However, regardless of the industry you're in, most employees would rather project their anger onto some innocent person who just so happens to be doing a better job than you.

But what if you didn't choose to have a work enemy? What if they chose you? At a certain point, you can't sit around and allow someone else to make you look bad at your job so that they can get whatever minor raise or promotion they want instead of you.

This 29-year-old bartender was sick and tired of her coworker trying to make her look bad when, in reality, she was the one doing the majority of the labor-intensive work during closing shifts that week.   • Sure, the author was often given the closing shift, but her work enemy was given the opening one. This meant that if her work enemy really wanted to play, she was going to have to expect the same energy directed back toward her. So, the author managed to increase her enemy's workload tenfold the next morning! You get what you deserve, lady!

  • Blackhole_5un. Don't become her. Just be you, that's already galling to her. Don't let her get to you, treat her like you would anyone else. The best revenge is none at all. Let them live with their hate, don't justify it.
