Grateful for their cats and cuddling the family Kitty at their parents' house, cat lovers eagerly look forward to Thanksgiving. With the promise of turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy to boot, there's really only one thing feline fanatics cherish more than this year's family celebration: Their cat at home.

Unlike dogs, cats are forced to stay behind during the holidays, getting sequestered in their respective homes instead of mingling with aunts, uncles, and cousins. While we know our cats prefer it that way, taking full rein of the house in our absence, we sure do miss our kitties. Although it's only for a few short hours, we dream of returning home to our cuddle machines to pet their soft fur, crack open a canned food, and maybe sneak some turkey to our feline bestie.

Cats just make us feel good. They're meowrvelous little beings who shock and awe us every day. As a cat owner, there are no dull moments, and our kitties keep us on our toes and ready for any surprise ankle attacks. You know what, now that I think of it, that little gremlin deserves more than a few leftovers of Thanksgiving dinner. Purrhaps, this year, we make them their own little fowl feast, complete with gravy, sides, and the warm hugs n' kisses that make Turkey Day so special.
