'My girlfriend found this big beautiful boy': After being dumped on the streets, a fluffy giant is rescued and revealed to be a Maine Coon

Some cats don't just cross our paths. They practically request a rescue. That's exactly what happened when a shivering, fluffy gentleman was found tucked under a bush. He'd been spotted wandering the area for weeks, and sadly the neighborhood is known for people abandoning unwanted pets. But instead of being skittish or unfriendly, this big boy was all affection and head bumps, as if he'd been waiting for someone to finally notice him.

Despite being very thin and covered in belly mats, he's still a whopping 13–15 pounds, bigger than most pampered house cats at full weight. His size, giant paws, and fluffy mane have everyone thinking he's likely a Maine Coon or at least part of one. A microchip search came up empty, so now he's officially on his way to the vet for a full exam, a healthy meal plan, and a life where no one leaves him to fend for himself again.

And while his forever name isn't official yet, Muppet is leading the vote. With his big personality, scruffy charm, and instantly lovable face, it suits him perfectly. He didn't just get rescued. He clearly chose the right humans.

    SimmerWeekndxo That's an expensive cat. Not that it really matters. It's cruel either way to just dump a cat or any pet, as opposed to finding them a new forever home. I'm glad you two took him in and he looks like he's also pleased with his choice. Thank you for caring for this sweet boy.
