In this story, a long-term employee felt like he had been put in a difficult spot when his newer coworker kept asking to shadow him while he was working, so that she could learn more about how their workplace operated. Initially, he agreed to this arrangement because he felt it was important to help her feel comfortable in her role.
However, he started to get suspicious when this colleague began reporting tasks that he had completed as those that she had done herself. When she asked to shadow him again, he refused, and she got upset, claiming that this was hindering her ability to do her job. He wanted a second opinion.
