Then the CDS found me. Now I spend time holding my cats head up so she doesn't fall over after she falls asleep getting scritches. I've only had her for 3 weeks, but I'm pretty sure this is what love feels like. Thanks, CDS, for the most gorgeous little bestie. 1st picture was day one, 2nd is what 3 weeks of love looks like

Plasticity93 Those ear floofs are completely uncalled for.

OP ConsequenceSmart6219 I can't wait to see how fluffy she gets over time

VLC31 "Not cat people" are just people who haven't met the right cat yet.
  • 10
OP ConsequenceSmart6219 This could be true.

foursoil Start brushing now! It will make your life so much easier, and your cat will like it (and you) more. And she will need it!
  • 12
OP ConsequenceSmart6219 I already do! She actually loves it

TrimaxionDrone_BR549 People who don't know the love and affection of a cat are missing out in life for real. I can have an absolutely soup sandwich of a day, but all the pain, anger, frustration, and sadness goes away as soon as I get home to my cats. Edit to add: congratulations on accepting the cat into your life! You'll be wondering how you did so long without him. Pro tip: cats are best when there's two or more.

OP ConsequenceSmart6219 That was me yesterday. Drove home in silence, absolutely done. Walked in the door, heard her little chirpy meow.. "oh HIIIII| sweet baby"

uselessandexpensive Sucks to [It really is great to] realize that cats are amazing and you're actually a perfectly wonderful cat parent and one or more would drastically improve your existence. Congratulations! Let us know when you find the two of your another friend to romp around and take naps with.

OP ConsequenceSmart6219 Lmao... I haven't not been looking

JMaAtAPMT Average cute as heck kitteh. But what I see here is that she LOVES you, OP. Unconditionally.

OP ConsequenceSmart6219 Average?! Color me appalled! Did I mention she has multi colored toe beans (that could be normal but it made me absolutely squeal from the cuteness when I saw them) how's that for average! But in all seriousness, she does and it is 100% reciprocated

Fit-Presentation44 It's a slippery slope! I had my first cat at 50 years old (we rescued 3 neonates) and now I have 4 cats. Also 2 dogs. I will never give up having cats but probably won't have dogs in my 70's because it's a lot more work.
  • 22
OP ConsequenceSmart6219 I have 2 giant dogs, a baby cat, and 12 chickens. I also keep a couple feral children around. Too many dang mouths to feed! And I love them all

I came a few days asking about getting my trash cat a kitten. There was an adoptathon at a local humane society so I stopped by. There was plenty of purring, friendly little gremlins but I kept looking. There was this girl. Hiding ina box, full of spice, wanting nothing more than to disappear. I reached in. She hissed and smacked me. I said "I'll take her" The lady helping me looked confused. I said "we'll be best friends in no time"

Well, it's been a few hours. She still wants nothing to do with me. But Willow has managing to move in with no attacks.
