‘(They) tried to drag the dog back to the car physically.’: Woman saves Great Pyrenees puppy from previous neglectful owners who abandoned the dog and tried to take it back by force

To say that not all pawrents deserve to be pawrents is an understatement, and that statement hardly rings truer than in the case we have to present you within this story. For this story tells the tale of a poor dog who was abandoned by his family for one reason or another but found safety and love in the arms of a kind rescuer who was adamant about doing things by the book. After surrendering the pupper to a shelter, waiting for that shelter to declare the doggo as abandoned, and only then bringing it home, you would expect their new life to begin without much of a hitch.

But out of the blue, the moment things were looking like they were settling in for a happy ever after, the original owners turned up. And in a flurry of fight worthy words and aggression, they attempted to dog-nap their ex-canine from the rescuer. A harrowing reminder that some people find it completely ok to simply abandon an animal and then come back for it whenever they please.

And no less by people who likely could not care any less about the doggo and are more bothered by the concept of ownership.
