25 Times Our Cats Reminded Us What The End Of Year Silly Season Is All About

They say that our cats pick up on our energy…and by the end of the year, we're feeling a whirlwind of emotions that even we as humans can't always fully understand! But hey, leave it up to Mr Whiskers to know exactly how you're feeling!

That truly is one of my all-time favorite characteristics about animals: they always seem to know when you need a cuddle…or when you desperately need space (and want them to hide in the spare room for the next 3 hours!) If you have a pet for a fairly lengthy amount of time, there is no doubt in my mind that they begin to 'know' us, their 'owners', better than we think. Just because they're animals doesn't mean they're not extremely intelligent! And often, they may even be one step ahead.

I don't even think it's just an emotional element: Many people like to believe that pets can even start to look like their owners…And let me tell you, I do see it! From one blonde girl with a perfectly blonde Labrador, to another. You may even be subconsciously choosing the pet who reminds you a little bit of yourself! So it's no shock that our pets may be acting up, and starting to act like us in this festive, crunch-time, end of year, holiday season!

So what better way to end the year than with 25 times our cats were radiating in end of year energy!
The end of the year is a time when we celebrate our wins, and try to learn from our losses…It can be an overwhelming time when we are called to wrap up all our loose ends at work, while simultaneously trying to ensure we've bought every member of our family (and what often feels like the state) the perfect Christmas gift! While it is an exciting time to set new goals for the year ahead, we must remember soak in the moment and enjoy the last few days of 2025, just like our cats would do!
