I work in the construction industry and recently started a new job. I went to a new site yesterday and it turns out we have 4 boy husky mixes living there!

We are all currently looking to find them all homes but haven't had much luck yet. We are in an area where shelters are overcrowded and they cannot take anymore dogs in. Should we call animal control they will most likely be put on the euthanasia list.

From my coworkers - they are two months old and will be BIG. Their breed will also require a lot of exercise. The two browns pups love attention and cuddles, the black ones are on the shy side but still friendly just need some work. Mama is owned, but the owner is not able to care for the pups.

I'm not really sure how to approach this. I have found strays before and was always able to find a shelter to take them in when I couldn't. I'd love to help out, even if it is just raising money to get them vaccinated and neutered until someone shows interest in adopting.

They are currently being fed by the neighbors who are disabled veterans, they are very kind but limited as to what they can do. Since the neighbors are unable to keep them inside their home, they are living in their yard for now.

What would you suggest? Do you have any ideas on what I can do to raise money and help out? (On a side note we have 3/4 named: DeWalt (brown), Thrash (dark brown), Craftsman (black and white). We still need one name! Please comment if you have any ideas)

ImaginaryStandard293 Makita should be the 4th. Look into rescues. They tend to place dogs with foster families. Also check to see if there are any dog sanctuaries in a decent radius to you. You can also try contacting veterinarian offices. Some will place information for pups. needing homes.

Consideration|||6905 I would start by contacting a husky or northern breed specific rescue organization. They often have larger networks and more specific resources than general shelters and are highly motivated to keep dogs of these breeds out of the shelter

system. You can also create a simple online fundraiser with clear pictures of the puppies and the story of how they were found, people are often willing to donate for vaccinations and neutering, especially when they see a direct plan. Be sure to share the fundraiser on local comnunity Facebook pages and Nextdoor.

Look_A_Bunny A husky organization will be unlikely to take in these dogs as they predominantly display pit bull traits. Shelters are already over run with pit mixes. You will likely have the most luck finding owners for them individually but please be up front about the breeds as both have high care requirements.

IckySweet ""Mama is owned, but the owner is not able to care for the pups"" Most helpful is to get this "owned mama dog" dog spayed. So she doesn't have another litter this spring.

2nd most helpful is those pups need vaccines so they don't catch diseases. Neutering asap. A pack of male dogs will wander and can quickly become dangerous for the entire neighborhood.

Far_Reindeer3003 Tbh the owner is super sketchy and I don't feel comfortable around him. I'm not really sure how to approach the idea that he should have his dog spayed, or how he would take it, although I agree with you.

swagzard78 The 4th should be named Gyaratodus

ScarletSpire Go find a rescue to help them. Also, Hilti would be a great name for a dog.

3Left_Feet My neighbors often post strays on the Neighbors (owned by Ring) app and Nextdoor. You dont need to own a Ring camera to use Neighbors. I've even seen tiktok videos reach thousands of likes locally near me. Maybe that's an option too? Good luck, OP. The puppies are super cute.
